- Proactive representation on city, county, state, and legislative issues of concern to the Green Industry. . The NLA has worked with the Nevada State Board of Contractors to revise and broaden the definition of a C-10 license. They just finished working with NSBC to revise the C-10 test. The NLA is also beginning to work to try and attain some sort of landscape designer designation for landscape The NLA has been instrumental in working to create a Plant Science Major and Horticultural Major offering either a Plant Science or Horticultural degree in both southern and northern Nevada.
- The Reno Board members successfully went before the Regional Water Planning Commission to request funding for CLT program.
- Las Vegas Board members sit on SWNA Water Conservation Coalition as well as the Green Industry Coalition. The Las Vegas Chapter is partnering with California Association of Nurseryman and the Garden Market Expo in Las Vegas in September to offer seminars, a booth and sponsor the Wynn Landscape Tour
